About me

Hi, my name is Tim – sometimes I use the username worthyashes if I’m posting on forums or other blogs.  I’m a freelance web developer specialising in Flash and Flex.  I’ve been working with Flash for around 6 years and Flex for the last 3.  I’m interested in creating really intuative and interesting interfaces for online applications, normally driven by databases.  I’m trying to get my portfolio sorted out – but like so many of the freelance community, I’ve been too busy.  Don’t worry as soon as I’ve got it sorted I’ll post here.

I’d like to use this blog to cover some of the code I’m using, share anything I think may be helpful and also I’m really going to make an effort to focus on those all important ‘getting started’ tutorials that are sometimes really hard to find.

If you’d just allow me a little self publicising, I’ve worked for the BBC (actually who hasn’t), Lacoste, Sony Pictures, Goldman Sachs, Emirates Bank, National Bank of Dubai and WritingEndeavours.co.uk (that’s the wife). The last was probably the most challenging. And anyone who points out it’s just a wordpress blog and that because of the amazing way wordpress works it only took 5 minutes to set up – I know, just don’t tell Tor.

I’m also a proud Dad, so there may well sneak in a few bits about my little boy Charlie, but that’s tough – you’re going to have to put up with that!

So – that’s me, hopefully you’ll find something useful in the coming months and (possibly) years.

Tim
